So since the site's been down a while, I have been working on applying color schemes to some of my master equipment drawings over at the railshops.

Inter-Global Astra YT Hi-Railer Road/Rail tow vehicle:

50-foot standard boxcars and reefers in major railroad colors

40-foot Cargo Containers (ISO TEU scale)

And a small 70-ton light switcher in Trans-Rail Express TREX demonstration paint scheme. This design was modified to produce the YS70 PP&S (Power, Pump and Service)

And introducing a new project - Aramingo Coachbuilding "Dart" Series B low-floor shuttle bus. Rated for approx. 20 sitting passengers, 2-3 handicapped-accessible wheelchair floor locks and luggage racks, the design is ideal for short-distance shuttle service at airports and urban transport hubs that serve major downtown areas. Pics are examples of the Port Shuttlebus Services Corporation color scheme on the Dart B shuttlebus assigned to Route 47 (Center City International Aerospaceport to the Rapid Transit Central Station line)

Rail equipment of Northern Mines

Northern Mines is one of the largest mineral extraction, mining and quarrying concerns in GEAR 1. With much of its work based in the Highlands region of the country, Northern Mines operates a significant transportation structure to support its operations and move materials to market and customers. It also manages one of the largest fleets of Class 8 high-horsepower fusion-drive mountain locomotives in the country.

And the Navy moves by rail! Aside from munitions, parts and supplies, small auxiliaries like this Higgins LCVP type ship's support craft go from the factories to the naval bases where they join up with their crews.

Maybe a few figures dropping trousers at the annual "moon the train" event, like in California.

Good work. Though I would make the pistol grip a little longer.
Grunt [gruhnt];
Term of Affection
The dirty, smelly, foot sore, camo painted, tired, beautiful sonofabitch, who has kept the wolf away from the door for more than 200 years.

And on the 8th day, the lord created the Infantry, and all hell stood at attention.

GEAR 1 troops with standard-issue "Desert Rock" Camo (aka "Chocolate Chip Pattern"). These examples are armed with the GEAR 1 Self-Loading Rifle Mark 4, 5.7mm Caseless. Following the pattern of the British SLR and FN FAL, the SLR Mark 4 has a folding stock and composite materials for a traditional looking weapon. The standard box magazine holds 40, 5.7mm caseless rounds with a highly concentrated non-powder propellant allowing the higher ammo capacity.

EDIT - The examples are using the SLR Mark 4 "DM" for Designated Marksman. The weapon is paired to a rugged match-grade scope for precision shooting. (These are not dedicated Scout-Snipers...)

- All Arms (Army Green) beret

- Airborne Forces

- Armored Forces

- Air Force Special Tactics/Rescue Jumpers

- Rangers/Commandos

- Joint Military Engineering Corps

- Kelseyland Royal Guard

- Joint Medical Corps

- Military Police Corps

- Navy Combined Operations (Beachmasters)

- Signal Corps (Corps Color: Light Olive)

- Special Operations Forces

GEAR 1 Center City - Capital Regional Transportation Authority (CCCRTA) "The T"

Inspired by and to honor the IRL city of Boston, the GEAR 1 CCCRTA uses a silver-gray, violet and yellow "cheat stripe" scheme on their rail equipment.

One of a number of railway companies chartered in GEAR 1 and serving local, regional and national destinations on the nationalized Federation Railroad Network, The T provides passenger commuter rail and regional passenger/express package feeder service to Center City (Capital of GEAR 1), the Green Zone (Diplomatic District), Pink Zone (Government District and Kelseyland Royal Palace) and outlying districts. A variety of "Union Stations" and multimodal transportation hubs connect The T services to national rail and aerospaceport routes, and coastal seaports.

GS-40 in The T livery and a Blue Line commuter transit service roundel.
GS-40 in The T livery and a Green Line commuter transit service roundel.

A variety of metropolitan Commuter Service Lines (Blue, White, Yellow, Green, Purple, Red, etc.) are served by specially-marked locos and cars; the colored routes extend from terminals and major transportation hubs in Center City to connector hubs and suburban points, served by short, high-speed trains. Many of these lines use trackage exclusive to The T and include surface and subterranean "subway" type station stops. Additional commuter and general passenger service routes on Federal trackage use equipment without a colored roundel.

Example 175-passenger bi-level commuter service car marked for White Line commuter service

Also spawned by The T, additional high-speed commuter service lines in other metropolitan hubs around GEAR 1 operate using a special "Go Green" Green and White livery on their locos and cars.

New motive power - 4,500-horsepower Sierra Heavy Industries SD45 Mark 0 and passenger/express cars with diaphragms and trainline service conduits connected.

Engine color schemes:
PRWX - Patriot Redwood Transportation - Maroon and purple scheme/design inspired by Wisconsin Central RR
ILMX - Industrial Logistics Management - Black/White stripes and red cab inspired by Canadian National RR
PLTX - Pelletier Lines Transportation - Red/White stripes and blue cab inspired by recolored CN RR; I think I saw a rendering as a special scheme on a short line like the Monongahela, IIRC. What the hell, it looks patriotic, and I like it.
