A slew of Gravesend Class 1F, Fusion-powered conversion high-speed commuter rail engines of 4,000 horsepower pass on their way from the Gravesend maintenance yards to the Center City / Capital Region Transit Authority (CCCRTA). These were converted from electric engines that drew power from the commercial city power systems through high voltage third rails until microfusion powerplants supplanted the fixed, third rail systems and allowed extended distance travel. Class 1 units were converted directly to microfusion without changing the overall shape or design of the original locomotive. Able to be run in push or pull direction, the Class 1 units handled freight and passenger consists until almost retired wholesale. The CCCRTA is one of the few remaining operators with a significant fleet of Class 1's.
CCCRTA utilizes the Class 1 to head regional fast commuter trains on all of the color lines (Black, Blue, Green, Gray, Purple, Red, Yellow and White), the Aerospaceport Direct Line, the Capitol Line, the Green Zone Line (serving the diplomatic sector) and the Pink Zone Line (serving the government center and royal palace). A handful of unmarked locomotives provide support to long-distance CCCRTA runs and intercity lines as helpers and reserve power on remote divisions.
This passing maintenance consist also includes a modified coach used as a Cab Control car for push-pull commuter train operations.
EDIT: Added two "Special Edition" Class 1, not assigned to specific CCCRTA lines. One is painted with a billboard ad to ride the "T" Express, which is the nickname for the network of dedicated lines and terminals owned by the CCCRTA Rail Division. The other promotes the Center City Red Bulls battleball team, a very popular sports team in GEAR 1. The billboard units pulled intercity and regional trains from "union" stations outside the city, promoting the rapid transit system. The unit at the head of the maintenance consist is "Grape Ape", the all-purple Inter-Global SD45-0 locomotive used as a company hack and equipment switcher at the CCCRTA main car shop and railyard in the Capitol Valley industrial section of the city.
(The maintenance hostlers also snuck in an InterGlobal Heavy Industries General Service GS40, 4,000 hp microfusion locomotive, which is carrying an advertisement for the CCCRTA's metropolitan transportation hubs (T-Hubs).)
